Dali Triton Aile Orig Bronze Sculpture -Clot Collection in Northbrook, IL

This is an original Dali sculpture from the Clot Collection. * The figure here is Triton, from Greek Mythology. He was 1 of the 2 winged messengers of the Gods, answering to Poseidon and the sea-nymph Amphitrite. Dali has portrayed him with the energetic motions of the sea. * The Clot Collection contains the only three dimensional works authenticated as original sculptures by Salvador Dali. * The Spanish art dealer, Isidro Clot, made a contract with Dali to produce these subjects. There are photographs showing Dali working with the wax, making each sculpture. * The Collection was originally modeled at the artist's home in Port Lligat, Spain from 1969 to 1976.
